Follow These Safety Guidelines When Flying as an Expectant Mother
- At flyplus, the safety and comfort of expectant mothers are a top priority. While pregnancy is not generally considered a medical condition that prevents travel, certain guidelines must be followed:
- Up to 28 Weeks of Pregnancy
- Passengers may travel upon completing the Expectant Mother Pregnancy Declaration Form.
- From the 29th Week to the 36th Week of Pregnancy (up to the beginning of the 9th month)
- Passengers may travel if:
- The Expectant Mother Pregnancy Declaration Form has been completed.
- A “Fit for Air Travel” medical certificate, signed by a doctor within 24 hours of departure, is provided.
- From the 36th Week of Pregnancy (9th month)
- Passengers with normal pregnancies and no history of premature labor may travel up to the 36th week only.
- After the 36th week, travel is permitted only if:
- A medical certificate from the treating physician confirms there is no imminent delivery and specifies the expected delivery date.
- A “Fit for Air Travel” medical certificate, signed within 24 hours of departure, is presented.
- The Expectant Mother Pregnancy Declaration Form is completed.
Important Notice: Expectant mothers within seven days before or after delivery are not permitted to fly on flyplus.
